When I took the hour drive back home, I was shocked at how out of the loop I had been on the current events around me. Since my dorm room's cable plug doesn't work, I haven't been able to watch TV and know what's going on in the world. Being at college is like being in a bubble. All you do all day is classes, homework, and socializing with other people in the same bubble as you. I really think I'm going to need to start reading the paper, or something because I've felt so disconnected since I got home from school.
Don't get me wrong, I love getting to live the college experience, but I want to still feel apart of the real world at the same time. I'm determined to stay connected to both worlds while I'm in school. I will find a way to stay up to date on current events. Just wait and see.
