Shout Out to My Support System

It's T minus 2 days until move in day for freshman at college. I've got most everything packed up and it's making the bedroom look really bare. I'm so excited to move into my own space and start my college experience. It's strange not having my little sister home with me, because high school here as already started back. It's been really quiet around the house and I don't know how my mom can live with all the silence all day long. My sister on the other hand, is miserable at her school, and today is even worse. Since there was a huge storm yesterday, lightening struck the air conditioner on the roof and left the school without air conditioning. In northern states it probably wouldn't have been that huge of a deal, but when you're in Georgia, it's HOT! She must be burning up today.
I wonder what college will be like and how I'll be able to adjust living on my own with no parents to cook and clean. I'm sure I can do it all, but it's finding the will power to do it that's the problem. My dad has been a big supporter as well as my mom. My mom has helped find everything I could possibly need in my dorm room, and all the essentials that I might need while I'm away at school. My dad however, bought me a tool box to help with any problem I might have. Last night he even went through every tool and told me every scenario that I might have to use it for. I love that I have such a great support system at home. It means a lot that my parents have put so much time, money and energy into making sure I'm prepared for my college experience. I love them so much, and I know they will always be there for me no matter what. I'm so lucky to have such awesome parents!
